Car & Van Hire - Paris

Enterprise car hire locations - Paris

Paris is the ancient capital of France, located to the north of the country, on the river Seine. With landmarks such as the Louvre museum, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, Paris is one of the top tourist destinations for travellers in Europe and worldwide. It is also the biggest city in the European Union, containing more shops and attractions than could be listed. Enterprise Rent-A-Car provides car rental in Paris at over 20 separate locations. We operate eight branches in the main arrondissements alone, as well as dedicated car hire branches at the Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports. Enterprise outlets are also present on the outskirts of the city, such as at Versailles. Most of our branches are located close to the major Parisian roads of the Boulevard Périphérique and the E5 and N2 branch roads. See our online map of our branches within Paris for more information.

Attractions In Paris

The metropolitan area of Paris contains more things to see and do than we could ever possibly list. However, you may wish to see the highlights of Paris if you're on holiday. These are generally considered to be the majestic Eiffel Tower, the sprawling Louvre art museum, the Arc de Triomphe, Les Jardin des Plantes and the Grand Palais. The many Catholic chapels of Paris are also world famous, as are the open spaces and boulevards that surround the centre. If you're looking for more modern attractions, Paris also contains a seemingly never-ending supply of retail shops, theme parks and theatres.

Places To Visit Outside Paris

The enormous Parisian road network means that it is easy to drive to nearby attractions, as well. The Palace of Versailles is probably the closest and most popular major sightseeing location, but there are many other sites that you could visit. The four separate national parks that surround Paris are often overlooked by those looking for a day out in the French countryside. The port of Le Havre is also a two and a half-hour drive away if you're hoping for a day on the northern French coast.

Parking And Traffic Information In Paris

Road traffic in Paris is usually fairly intense. While the outskirts of the city are usually hassle-free, the small streets of the centre can sometimes be tricky to navigate due to congestion at peak times. If you plan your journey in advance and avoid work hours, you may find driving to key locations within the core a lot easier. Reflecting this, paid parking garages (such as those offered by the Parisian franchise Q-Park) are easy to find in most arrondissements of Paris. Spaces in smaller areas may be in short supply.
