The stunning Truro Cathedral is one of the finest religious buildings in Cornwall, and the county’s only cathedral. Built in the late 19th century, the Gothic Revival-style building features an imposing 250-foot spire that dominates Truro’s skyline. It was the first cathedral built in Great Britain since construction on Salisbury Cathedral started in 1220. The city was a bustling port until recently, and much of Truro’s industry that dominated its wharfs has been replaced by offices and homes.
