At the airport exit after customs, find an Enterprise representative that will help customers take a shared rental car shuttle to main office to pick the car up. Shuttle to main office runs every 5 minutes.

Rental Policies

All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements.
Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement.
An additional daily fee may apply for any additional drivers.

The additional driver can only be added to the contract at the pick up location.

 

Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 and maximum is 75.
Rental rates may be higher for renters and additional drivers under the age of 25.
 

Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection -CDW-TP- is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is mandatory and is required in order to rent a vehicle. Payment of deductible applies. CDW-TP is mandatory unless renters credit card has CDW coverage. In order to decline CDW-TP, proof of credit card coverage is required.  If CDW-TP is declined, renter is responsible for the full value of damage to the vehicle. If you purchase CDW-TP, we agree, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate CDW, to contractually waive your responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of the vehicle. A CDW-TP deductible of 1500 USD applies. In order to confirm if credit card insurance allows client to decline CDW-TP, a call to the bank may be required.

Accident Protection -AP- may be purchased as an additional protection besides the basic CDW and SLC, and all together will reduce renters Collision Damage Waiver- deductible to 0.00 USD.

All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. One way charges apply and are payable at time of rental. One way charges cannot be prepaid.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1- We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay Enterprise at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 40 percent surcharge will apply.

Option 2- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

The purchase of Supplementary Liability Coverage -SLC- is always mandatory.  It can not be declined by any Credit Card. The SLC deductible is 20 percent of total damages to the third party property. SLC is only valid when rental vehicle is in Guatemala. This coverage combined with Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection conform the Mandatory basic protection. Payment of deductible applies. SLC provides you with minimum financial responsibility limits as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws of the country where the vehicle is operated. SLC covers Ambulance Service, Doctors, Hospitalization and Nurses for third parties with a maximum limit of 230,000.00 USD per event.     

 

Unrestricted driving within Guatemala. Renters may drive into El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, however, arrangements must be made with the rental station 48 hours prior to leaving Guatemala. A fee of 60.00 USD will be assessed for legal - cross border documents. Rental vehicles may not be driven outside of Guatemala without the required legal documents.

A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renters name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

Credit Cards honored - American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club.

An authorization on the credit card in the amount of 600.00 USD plus the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental for economy to fullsize and 1500.00 USD for SUV and above. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges.  In case that customer declined CDW, the amount held on credit card will be 1000.00 USD plus the estimated amount of the rental.

Debit - Check cards are considered to be any non-credit card American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club, Discover logo. Debit -Check cards are not accepted at this location.

Cash is not accepted at this location.

Available 24 hours - Customer must call Enterprise at 502-2362-3000 during business hours and 502-2279-8111 outside of business hours. In the case of an accident - incident, customer must contact rental location and insurance company immediately to report accident. Detailed instructions are provided at the time of rental.

Must meet the locations minimum age requirements.

Present a valid drivers license.

Present a major credit card in renters name at the time of rental.

The cost of a rental car depends on many factors and can vary greatly. These factors include:

To rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the United States and Canada, you will need the following:

  • To be 25 years old 
  • A valid driver's license with a photo
  • A photo ID (For example: a driver’s license or passport)
  • Credit or debit card (check the acceptable forms of payment at the location you’re renting from)

Some locations may require additional information, including but not limited to: 

  • An International Driving Permit (IDP): If the license is written in a language or characters different to those of the country of rental, an IDP is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
  • Return travel and accommodation information: Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK.

Fuel Policy at Non-Airport locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.

Fuel Policy at Airport Car Rental Locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • You may opt to pre-pay for fuel -- Pre-pay gives you two conveniences:
    • You can avoid the hassle of having to fuel up the vehicle before returning.
    • Pre-pay fuel option is calculated at the local rate of gas minus a per gallon discount.

Note: Prepaid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon and is not refundable. Local fuel rates will vary by the area you are renting a vehicle.
