Nice is a Mediterranean costal resort in the southeast of France on the French Riviera with an all year round sunny climate which has attracted Europe's rich and famous since the British upper-classes started to visit in the Nineteenth Century. The city, which attracts in excess of four million visitors each year, has something for everyone and is France's most popular tourist destination in after Paris. The walled Old Town is a maze of narrow medieval streets, dotted with restaurants and bars. Visit Saleya Market, the largest on the Cote d' Azur. This is a lively place, full of colour where you can buy all kinds of food, flowers and trinkets. If fish is what you are looking for, then there is a market at St. Francois. Nice also has a number of shopping malls, such as the Nicetoile and Nice TNL. Whilst the local diet is typically Mediterranean, there is an eclectic mix of restaurants in the city serving food from many of the world's cuisines. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has a branch at Nice Train Station, as well as to the north of the city in Carros and to the south-west in Sophia Anti Val, providing plenty of flexibility.
